The first few months at a new organization can be both exciting and challenging, especially in our virtual workplace. The Buddy Program pairs a New Hire with an experienced one who can help them integrate into our firm and create a sense of belonging. The Buddy is the New Joiner’s go-to resource for questions about processes, systems, and culture.
Within the program, the experienced Buddy helps their New Joiner feel welcome. Buddies can help answer questions or direct a New Joiner to the appropriate resources. The Buddy also introduces the New Joiner to key people throughout the first three months. Weekly Buddy touchpoints help lay the foundation for a sense of belonging.
A positive onboarding experience is key to the integration and retention of our New Joiners. Buddies are essential in these efforts.
